Description

The New York State Office of Victim Services (OVS) and the National Children's Advocacy Center (NCAC) have teamed up to offer Forensic Interviewing of Children Training.

Specifically designed for child forensic interviewers from OVS-funded programs who have responsibility for initial forensic interviews, this five-day NCAC Model Course held in Albany, NY will provide attendees with immersion in the latest research-based information on interviewing techniques along with the opportunity to develop and refine interviewing skills.

  • Developmental Issues
  • Interviewing Strategies
  • Interviewing Tools

Attendees who successfully complete the Forensic Interviewing of Children Training will also receive a 40-Hour Certificate of Attendance, fulfilling the training requirement for all forensic interviewers funded through OVS contracts entered into as a result of the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Victim Assistance Program; Forensic Interviewers and Forensic Interview Equipment for Child Advocacy Centers Request for Applications.
